Burano, a pretty island near Venice known with colorful houses is just a step away by boat. I wouldn’t waste my chance to visit this place while i go to Venice.
In my short time of staying at Venice, i spend about 5 hour here including the transportation time from and back to Venice. I think you will need more time if you want to relax and having meal here. It’s a bit confusing of how to get here, i took the wrong boat and stop at Murano and get another boat to Burano. Ask people at waterbus stop to find out the right track.
Burano is very pretty and quiet so everything seem more laid back than Venice. Unique souvenirs sell here are laces. Note that the waterbus to go back to Venice is a bit rare so make sure you see the schedule when you arrive, and buy the 24 hours pass because there is no one selling ticket at waterbus stop, or you must find tobacco shop to buy the ticket.
